Clara Cambronero was born in Costa Rica. She graduated from The Universidad Nacional in Heredia, Costa Rica with a major in Spanish. Immediately she began working for the American Peace Corps, which had just opened a training center in Costa Rica. For ten years she worked as an instructor in the Spanish department teaching trainees who wished to become U.S. volunteers in different parts of Latin America.

During those years she attended many workshops given by U.S. specialists in fields of Second Language acquisition. She worked with students from diverse backgrounds with multiple learning styles. Clara has taught in Spanish as a second language in many schools in Costa Rica. She has over fifteen years of teaching experience. Now she is supervising the teachers here at Rancho and is constantly looking for ways to improve the program.
