Students are
tested the first day of school, right after the orientation session.
Small, homogenous groups are formed, maximun four students per group.
Students will have a new instructor every two weeks of the program,
to give them the opportunity of listening to different accents.
Frequently, they will be moved from one group to another during
the program to mantain smooth functioning and maximize individual
progress.

The instruction
is entirely in Spanish, and each week a specific grammatical sequence
is presented. Our instructors are skilled in blending conversation
with grammar to meet the individual needs of the group members.
We try to make learning grammar fun. Some of the teaching aids we
use are: audio-visual materials such as flash cards, posters, audio-tapes,
videos, newspaper articles as well as discussion groups. We use
articles and discuss current events and cultural activities in order
to provide an opportunity for students to broaden their vocabulary
and exposure to Spanish as spoken in day-to-day life.

Programs run
from one week to the length of time you want, depending on your
objective. If the goal is to survive in a Spanish speaking country
we recommend a four week immersion course with homestay. If your
goal is to speak Spanish more fluently, then we recommend an eight
or twelve week program with homestay. After a 4-week intensive
course, students will be able to speak about themselves, family,
friends, work and everyday activities. Students will also be able
to order food at restaurants, ask and give directions, request
information at public places, make phone calls, take taxis and
handle normal daily situations. Also the students will be able
to express themselves in the present, past and future.

|
After an 8-week
program the student will be able to give opinions about social problems
in our daily life: racism, divorce, drugs, and many other topics
depending on the interest of the student.
