Are
your tired of the noise, and hustle-bustle of the traditional tourist spots? Consider a
week or more in a secluded ranch house in the backwoods of Osa Peninsula in beautiful
Costa Rica. You will be living beside virgin tropical forest with monkeys, scarlet macaws,
toucans, and a wealth of wildlife. Completely private and isolated. Enjoy horseback riding
or moutain biking daily.
This is a
working ranch on the edge of the jungle. Horses, cows, chickens, beans and other crops,
are grown. There is also a butterfly farm and iguanas on the property. There are many
hiking trails, and beautiful streams to soak your tired feet. Deer are being raised on the
farm to reintroduce to the wild.
The ranch house is a 4 bedroom home with tile floors, kitchen,
furnished with gas refrigeration, gas stove and cooking equipment. A large living/dining
room, tile bathroom and a large front porch with rocking chairs and a beautiful view of
the countryside. There is no electricity, but lights are provided by solar power. A radio
phone is available. Completely furnished, including sheets and towels, all you need is
your clothing and your groceries.
Your travel arrangements are made for you to fly from San Jose to
Drake Bay airport. You will be met there and transported by jeep to the farm. Your
groceries will be delievered to you. You pay for your groceries at the end of the week.
Cleaning service is provided one day a week. There are ranch workers living on the
property for your security assitance.
This quiet week on the ranch is ideal for BIRDWATCHERS,
PHOTOGRAPHERS, ARTISTS, WRITERS, STUDENTS OF BIOLOGY, AND NATURE LOVERS THAT JUST WANT TO
RELAX. The cost is $730 per week/person - minimum party of 4. The ranch is
owned and managed by Drake Bay Wilderness Resort.
